ALBUM REVIEW

Knife Knights

1 Time Mirage

Released September 2018

“While Ishmael Butler (Shabazz Palaces/Digable Planets) has little to prove, he continues to break new creative ground on this Knife Knights project with Erik Blood.” So says UK music magazine Loud & Quiet, who suggest this project channels “insomniac energy, oddly tranquil and unsettled at the same time… a chilling, paranoiac afterglow from this oddly brilliant LP.” Treblezine finds the whole project confounding to describe: “Profoundly difficult” they say. “The album aims to break stylistic walls against a relentless lo-fi sensibility that’s unsellable as pop.”
